On one side, there's a NZSL sign illustration, the letter, word or number in English. On the other side is the translation in te reo Māori. For instance, the number 1 card shows the NZSL sign for one, the numeral 1 and "one" in English, and the opposite side has "tahi" in te reo Māori plus a phonetic to break down the pronunciation.
